ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING
NOVEMBER 12, 2019

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. Rodney Watson gave the
prayer.
* Minutes of the October meeting were approved as presented.
*Alice Eubanks was introduced as the Volunteer of the Month.
* Irma gave the financial report for September.
* "My Dad Reads to Me" has made 2 trips to the prison and has recorded 14 dads reading
to 23 children with 45 books shipped.
*The November Birthday Recognition will be November 13th at McDonald's. Littlefield
Birthday Recognition will be November 22"'.
*Irma has received notice to apply for Texas State Funds for 12/ 1 / 19 to 8/31 /20.
*The DEA National TAKEBACK Day in October collected over 200 Ibs of old meds.
*Board members with terms expiring this year are Elsa Cooper, Nicki Logan, Sally
Phillips, Gary Stennett and Rodney Watson.
*RSVP and the 4-H, PCA P and 4th graders, PHS ROTC and the PHS baseball team
had a final cleanup on the Hike and Bike Trail on October 9"" with 30 pounds of trash
collected.
*There is still $300 pending from the Golf Tournament.
*Breakfast with Santa will be on Saturday, December 7"' at 011ie Liner Center. Details
were discussed.
*Christmas Open House will be Tuesday, December 10`" from 3 to 5 at the Jimmy Dean
Museum.
*Christmas Parade will be December 511'.
*Lunch Bunch met on October 3151 for a program on Medicare by Gary Stennett.
*Lisa reported a total of 359 volunteers with 249 serving 6421 hours in September.
* Ballots for Volunteer of the Month were distributed.
*Next meeting will be January 14, 2020.
*Meeting was adjourned.
