Rodney Watson gave the prayer. * Minutes of the November meeting were approved as presented. * Irma gave the financial report for October and November. She reviewed income and expense reports for the 2019 projects. *Volunteer of the Month is G.L. Hight from Lockney. * "My Dad Reads to Me" has made 2 trips to the prison and has recorded 14 dads reading to 22 children with 44 books shipped. *The January Birthday Recognition took place on January 8th 13th at McDonald's. *Irma reported that 3 grant reports are due by the end of January. She gave an update on funding increases for 2020. *Beginning September 1, 2020, the Texas Health and Human Services will assume responsibility for the distribution of State Appropriated Funds. *Texas Senior Corps Association will meet in Galveston on February 26-28. Irma plans to attend. *Brandpie will be hosting ThinkTank sessions to collect information abour brands, programs, opinions and ideas. *Irma reported that attendance was down for Breakfast with Santa. The Christmas Open House was festive and fun. *MLK Day will be January 17 with RSVP, HCLC and WBU taking part in an activity at Edgemere Elementary. Irma will be doing the program at Rotary Club on January 22 with Emma reading the story of MLK Jr. *Board members with terms expiring are Elsa Cooper, Nicki Logan, Sally Phillips, Gary Stennett and Rodney Watson. Their names have been presented to the Mayor and City Council for reappointment. *Lisa is leaving the RSVP office as of January 17. * Irma is no longer exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This change in status was discussed. *Lisa reported a total of 370 volunteers with 267 serving 5992 hours in November. There were 368 volunteers with 260 serving 5451 hours in December. * Ballots for Volunteer of the Month were distributed. *Next meeting will be February l 1, 2020. *Meeting was adjourned.
