RESOLUTION R21-522
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, AWARDING THE PRIMARY BANK DEPOSITORY SERVICES
CONTRACT TO HAPPY STATE BANK; THE INITIAL CONTRACT TERM
SHALL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1, 2021 AND END ON SEPTEMBER 30,
2024 WITH THE OPTION FOR TWO ONE YEAR EXTENSIONS UNDER
THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has solicited applications from eligible
financial institutions to provide Primary Bank Depository Services pursuant to and in
accordance with Chapter 105 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, has evaluated the applications received
and has determined that the application submitted by Happy State Bank is the most
advantageous application for the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The recitals outlined above are found to be true and correct and are incorporated
herein as if fully set forth herein.
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute any and all
documents necessary and incidental to entering into an agreement between the City of
Plainview and Happy State Bank for bank depository services.
3. The authorization provided herein is contingent upon the approval of the City Attorney
or the City Attorney's designee of all contracts and other documents to be executed
pursuant to the authority granted herein.
4. That the meeting at which this resolution was passed was conducted in accordance
with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
5. That this resolution shall be effective immediately from and after its date of passage.
