Advisory Council Meeting
October 12, 2021

*The meeting was called to order by President Gary Stennett. The opening Prayer was given by Tara
Walker.
*Gary reported that a candidate will be interviewed for the director's position.
*The minutes for the September meeting were approved as presented.
*Irma presented the financial report for August which was accepted as presented.
*A check has been received in the amount of $2500 from the Wal-Mart Community Grant. These funds
will be used for community projects not covered by federal and state grants.
*The State Grant for 2021-2022 will be funded in the amount of $20,590.48.
*Irma participated in the Texas Project Director's video call on budget planning.
*The final cleanup of the Hike and Bike Trail for this year will be held on October 13m
*There will be a call -in for Quarter 2 Grantees in a Continuation or Renewal process application on
October 14'n.
*The DEA National RX Take Back will take place on October 23'd at Wayland.
*Breakfast with Santa was discussed.
*Plans for volunteer recognition were discussed. A drive -thru will be held in December.
It was decided to postpone the "Christmas" Open House until Spring.
*Irma asked for recommendations for people to fill three vacancies on the Board.
*TSCA will meet in Waco in 2022. Registration is now open for membership.
*Irma reported there are 4 grant reports due before the end of October.
*RSVP is making plans to honor our veterans for their service during November.
*There was an RSVP Orientation held at the Floydada Spirit of Sharing. They have 17 volunteers (100%)
with RSVP.
*Becca attended a NSCA zoom meeting on program branding.
*Tokens of appreciation were presented to the First Responders in Floyd, Lamb, and Hale counties
*Becca gave the volunteer report for August. There are currently 338 volunteers with 205 serving
3409.9 hours in August.
*The next meeting will be November 9, 2021
*The meeting was adjourned.
