RESOLUTION NO. R07-169
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS ADOPTING A
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY PARKS SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, established a Parks Advisory Commission by
adopting Ordinance No. 95-3035; and
WHEREAS, one of the duties of the Parks Advisory Commission was to develop and
submit to the City Council of the City of Plainview a Comprehensive Plan for the future of
parks, open space, recreation or land planning; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee has submitted to the Council the Comprehensive
Plan for parks, open space, recreation and land planning through the year 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Comprehensive Plan is adopted for the City of Plainview, Texas,
to be studied, implemented and funded as the City Council determines most beneficial in
respect to time and budget constraints.
FURTHER, the progress and status of the Comprehensive Plan is to be reviewed annually
and updated every five years.
