City of Plainview, Downtown Plainview Main Street representatives: Melinda Brown and Tori Huddleston. Guests: Kristi Aday, EDC Director, Tonya Keesee, ex-officio member representing the Plainview Chamber of Commerce, and Susan Blackerby, City of Plainview Mayor Pro Tem. J(..)ne Board Min(..)fes . Review and Approve John Turpen motioned to approve the June minutes. Diane Martinez voiced the second, and the motion passed with a 5-0 vote. Friends of Downtown B(..)dget Review Tori Huddleston presented the June Friends of Downtown income and expenses and reported a balance of $30,650.73. Consider to take necessary action can M(..)ral Grant req(..)est from the Hale Co(..)nty Feac,her Federal Credit Union. Melinda Brown presented the new application for the Hale County Teachers Federal Credit Union signage grant. Returning to the historical integrity of the building's signage, they propose a 4-5 foot x 2-foot vertical sign extending away from the fagade for better street visibility. The total cost is $2,700.00, and the grant request is $1,350.00. Phyllis Wall motioned to approve the grant request and to remove the word mural from the grant and add it as a fagade grant for future requests. Carol Terrell voiced the second, and the motion passed with a 3-2 vote. Consider to take necessary action can proposed 2nd Sat(..)rday g(..)idelines. Melinda Brown introduced the proposed 2nd Saturday guidelines. Carol Terrell, chair of the Promotions Committee, shared that the 2nd Saturday sub -committee met and that many of the additions to the guideline revision came from their discussion. Phyllis Wall motioned to approve the 2nd Saturday guidelines with the presented draft corrections. John Turpen voiced the second, and the motion passed with a 5-0 vote.
