A RESOLUTION OF T~E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PLAIhS/LEW
TO ~TER INTO A PURCHASE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A FRONT-END LOADER FOR THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A LEASE/PURCHASE
WITH THE HALE COUNTY STATE BANK.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has responsibility for the
maintenance of the alley-ways within our con, unity and_ one of the units
of equipment is in need of replacewent; and
WHEREAS, on January 25, 1983, seven bids were received and opened
for the replacement of said front-end loader tractor of which Jerry
Walker Ford, Inc. of Lubbock bid of a Ford A-64 Front-end loader in the
amount of $40,641 was the lowest and best bid meeting city
specifications:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that the purchase of a front-end loader
tractor be made from Jerry Walker Ford, Inc. that being a Ford A-64 in
the amount of $40,641 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a
lease/purchase agreement for payment of said equipment from Hale County
State Bank of Plainview.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 22nd day of February., 1983.
