A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PIAINVIEW, TEXAS ACCEPTING PROPOSALS AND
AWARDING A CONTR~£T TO BLUE CROSS/BLIIE SHI~.D
TO PROVIDE HOSPITALIZATION A~D LIFE INSURANCE
FOR ~ CITY OF PIA//qV/EW EMPLOYR. F~q.

WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has drawn specifications and
requested proposals for the furnishing of hospitalization and life
insurance for the employees of the City of Plainview and their
dependents; and ~
WHEREAS, when proposals were received four (4) contoanies showed
an interest in providing this coverage to the City employees; and
WHEREAS, after evaluation of the proposals received, it is
recommended that the City enter into a contract with Blue Cross/Blue
Shield for Plan 91 as submitted by them, that being basically the same
as the present hospitalization plan in effect:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that a contract be executed with Blue
Cross/Blue Shield for the continuation of hospitalization and life
insurance coverage for the e~ployees of the City of Plainview.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 22nd day of February, 1983.
