Mayor Charles Starnes presided. Council Members present were Mary Elizabeth
Dickerson -District 1, Steve Martinez -District 2, Mike McDonough -District 3, Gary House -
District 4, Susan Blackerby-District 5, Evan Weiss -District 6 and Lorie Rodriguez -District
7.

6. Authorize purchase of information technology communication equipment for Police
Department and Fire Station No. 2
Presenter: Isauro Gutierrez, Director of Information Technology
Authorizes purchase of audio and visual technology for the new Police Station and new
Fire Station in the amount of $104,702.
Motion: Move to authorize purchase of information technology communication
equipment for Police Department and Fire Station No. 2
Motion by Council Member House, seconded by Council Member Weiss
Vote: 8-0. Motion carried.
7. Selection of Engineer for upcoming TxDOT 2023 Transportation Alternatives Set -
aside (TA) Grant
Presenter: Neil Weems, Assistant Director of Public Works
Staff recommends the selection of Parkhill as the engineer for the 2023 TxDOT
Transportation Alternatives Set -Aside grant for sidewalk design.

8. Award of Bid for the Surplus Property located at Southwest corner of the
Intersection of Interstate 27 and Highway 194 (Dimmitt Road) better described as Lots 1
and 2, 29t" Street Ada, Block 2, Allbrick, Plainview, Hale County, Texas and authorize
Mayor to sign necessary documents

On October 25th, the City Council declared this property as surplus and authorized the
City Manager to advertise for sealed bids for the appraised value. The City received one
bid in the amount of $102,000 from Mr. GK Reddy.

Southwest corner of the Intersection of Interstate 27 and Highway 194 (Dimmitt Road)
