A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAIN-
VIEW, TEXAS APPROPRIATING A SUM NOT TO EXCEED $10,000.00
FROM THE G.O. PARKBOND FUND ACCOUNT NO. 3-0-60812 AS
PAYMENT FOR GRASS SEED FOR E. & E. GIVENS PARK.
WHEREAS, on June 27, 1978, the City of Plainview entered into
a Land and Water Conservation Grant Program with the Parks and Wild-
life Department of the State of Texas (Project No. 48-00799) for
the development of Lakeside, Frisco and Givens Parks; and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 1983, Bid Proposals were opened on furnish-
ing bermuda grass seed for Givens Park in an amount estimated to be
used between 3,000 and 5,000 pounds; and
WHEREAS, Browning Seed, 'Inc. of Plainview, Texas, submitted a
bid in the amount of $1.95 per pound delivered to the Parks Department
which is the lowest and best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas to award a purchase contract to Browning
Seed, Inc. of Plainview, Texas for the bermuda grass seed at E. & E.
Givens Park.
