RESOLUTION NO. R83-597
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUR~IL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEX~ AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AN AG~ WITH THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR FUNDING IN THE AMfN3NT OF
$18,768.00 AT OUR LOCAL HEALTH UNIT.
~tEREASr the City of PLainview and the County of Hale jointly have
responsibility of the operation of the Te~s Public Health Unit in our
City and County; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Public Health has offered funding
in the amount of $18,768.00 to be used to employ an additional Public
Health Nurse in this Health Unit; and
WHEREAS, responsibilities of this nurse will be to provide clinical
service to meet the needs of low income women and children, with
particular reference of parental care to pregnant, family planning,
preventive health services:
NOW, THEREFORE BE it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas, that the Mayor be authorized to execute on
behalf of the City an agreement with the Te~s Public Health Department
for funding of said employee with the understanding that the employment
of this nurse will be of no cost in any way or manner for any salary
or benefits by the City.
