A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING BIDS RECEIVED AND APPROVING THE LOWEST
AND BEST BID AND. AWARDING A PURCHASE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF LABOR AND MATERIALS TO REPAIR ROOFS AT WATER TREATMENT PLANT,
SEWERAGE TREATMENT PLANT, AND OTHER CITY-OWNED BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS, the roofs at the Water Treatment Plant, Sewer Treatment Plant,
Water Booster Pump House, Sewer Plant Pump House, Pump House at 12.th and
Smyth Streets, and the Water Pump Booster Building are in need of immediate
repairs due to age and deterioration, and
WHEREAS, bid proposals were mailed to fourteen (14) roofing firms, and
bid proposals were duly advertised on June 5th and June 12th, 1983, and
WHEREAS, four (4) bids were received at l0 o'clock A.M., June 24, 1983,
and a complete and thorough review of the Bids reveals that J. Q. Lon9 Roofin.9.'
Company, whose bid price of $12,430.00 is the lowest and best bid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, that J. Q. Lpn9 Roofing Company be awarded a purchase contract
for labor and materials to complete the work as described in the specifications.
