A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~ CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS ACCEPTING BIDS AND ABrARDING PURCHASE CONTRACTS FOR
WATER WORKS MATER/ALS FOR THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview is constructing two deep water
wells; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to construct water mains to distribute the
water to be pumped from the water wells into the water distribution
system of the City; and
WHEREAS, certain water works materials are needed to construct said
water mains; and
WHEREAS, advertisement was made on June 12, 1983, and June 19, 1983
and sealed bids were received and publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. June 28,
1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview has reviewed a
tabulation of said bids and determined the lowest and best bids for said
water works materials:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas, that the bids be accepted and that purchase
oontracts for water works materials be awarded as follows:
SECTION !: Valves - C & C Municipal Supply, Inc. Lubbock, Texas
in the amount of $3,051.13.
SECTION 2: Flow Meter - The Rohan Co., Waco, Texas in the amount
of $ 2,160.90.
SECTION 3: Cast Iron Fittings and Valve Boxes - C & C Municipal
Supply, Inc., Lubbock, Texas in the amount of $1,400.71.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $6,612.74 be and is hereby
appropriated from the 1980 Junior Lien Revenue Bond Fund ~count No.
19-0-10001-11 to pay for the purchase of said water works materials.
