A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO
ENERGAS COMPANY FOR THE COST OF INSTALLING
GASLINE AND GAS METER TO ANIMAL SHELTER
FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, on March 18, 1983, the City of Plainview entered into
a contract for the construction of an animal shelter; and
WHEREAS, there is a necessity to install a natural gasline and
gas meter to furnish gas to the animal shelter facilities; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the installation of said gasline and
meter is $764.00 and payment of same should be made to Energas
Company:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Plainview, Texas, that $764.00 be paid to Energas
Company for the cost of installing a natural gasline and gas meter
to the animal shelter facilities and that these funds be appropriated
from the Revenue Sharing Funds.

Re: Gas Line to Serve
Animal Shelter
Dear Johnny:
Energas Company has been notified of the need for a gas line
to serve the Plainview animal shelter located on the north side of
S. W. 3rd Street, west of South Columbia.
The nearest gas line to this location is 565' west, and on the
south side of S. W. 3rd Street. As you know, we are only allowed to
install 75' for the new customer service; however since this is com-
mercial property, we are able to use the number of gas appliances to
be used in the building which is a total of six. We will install
twenty five feet per appliance, a total of 150 feet of gas line for
which you will not be responsible. The remaining 415' of line will
be installed at a cost of $764.00.
A check in this amount should be made to Energas Company, at
which time we shall install the gas line. If you should have further
questions co'ncerning this installation, please contact me.
