A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF P~, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A TEXAS ~ITY DEVELOPMENT
pROGRAM APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMt~ OF cO~{~3JNITY
AFFAIRS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACT AS THE CITY'S
A33THORIZRD REPRESENTATIVE IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO
TO THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE CO~MUR~TY DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview desires to
develop a viable urban con, unity, including decent housing and suitable
living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for
persons of lc~ and moderate inccme; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best public interest that the
City of Plainview avail itself of the ~ity Development Program for
Small Cities under Title I of the Housing and co~r~t~nity Development Act
of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview desires the
Mayor to act as the City's authorized Representative;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS: ~
That a C~t,,t~nity Development application for discretionary
funds under the Small Cities Program is hereby authorized to
be filed on behalf of the City with the Texas Department of
Cc~nunity Affairs.
2. That the City Council directs and designated the Mayor as the
Authorized R~presentative to act in all matters in connection
with this application and the City's participation in the
Connunity Development Program.
