A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLA/NVIEW,
TEXAS APPROVING AN UPDATED URBAN AREA BOUN~DARY 5~kP AS
SUBMITTED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN SAID
MAP ON BEHALF OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, from time to time as, municipalities boundaries change due
to annexation, it becomes necessary for the Texas Department of Highways
and Public Transportation to update an Urban Area Boundary Map for a
municipality; and
WHEREAS, an updated map has been presented to the City of Plainview
and has been reviewed by the City Staff and found to be accurate:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the 5~yor and the City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas that the City Council approves this updated
Urban Area Boundary Map as submitted by the Texas Department of Highways
and Public Transportation and approves the functional classifications as
minor arterials and the placing these on the Federal Aid Urban System
and hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign said map on behalf of the City.
