A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLA/NVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE
A~R~I~T FOR THE PURCHASE OF A LIFT BUCKET TO BE USI~
BY THE PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, by Council action approving Ordinance No. 83-2526, $13,500
was budgeted in the 1983-84 Revenue Sharing Budget for the purchase a
lift bucket to be used by the Public Safety Department; and
WHEREAS, advertisement was duly made and on the 9th day of January,
1984 at 10:00 A.M. bids were received for the purchase of said lift
bucket; and
WHEREAS, the staff has reviewed the bids received and recc~nends
the bid submitted by Commercial Body of San Antonio in the amount of
$15,732.00 as being the best bid submitted meeting all specifications.
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the additional $2,232.00 needed
for this purchase be transferred within the Revenue Sharing allocation
as follows: $2000 be transferred from the Traffic account designated for
extra signal controls, and $232 be transferred from the funds remaining
after the purchase of the dump truck bed in the Public Safety account:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that the Mayor be authorized to enter into a
purchase agreement for the purchase of one (1) lift bucket in the amount
of $15,732.00 from Cc~nercial Body of San Antonio to be used by the
Public Safety Department, and the above stated transfers be made.
