A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CY)IINCIL OF THE CITY OF PIAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW TO CONTRACT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF THE STATE
OF TEXAS TO PROVIDE COM~JNITY AND RURAL HEALTH SERVICES.
WHEREAS, it hasbeen determined bythe PlainviewCity Council and
the Hale County Conmlissioners Court that there is a need existing in the
City of Plainviewand the County of Hale to provide health services to
the citizens; and
WHEREASr these services include, but not limited to, immunization,
paterD~l and child health, crippled children, adult health, tuberculosis
control, chronic disease, dental health, public health education,
venereal disease, and certain environmental health services; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Health Department has agreed to enter into
contract with the City of Plainview/County of Hale to fund one Nurse
III, one Sanitarian I, and one Nurse who will perform paternal and child
health services for a total amount not to exceed $67,611.00:
NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved by the Ymyor and City Council of the
City of Plainview that the Mayor be authorized to execute contracts with
the Texas Health Department joining with the County of Hale to provide
health services for the citizens of the City of Plainview and the County
of Hale.
