A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS R~CEIVING BIDS AND ACCEPTING THE LO~ST AND BEST
BID AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ~FfER INTO A PLrRCHASE
CONTRACT FOR A SIDELOAD REFUSE PACKER BODY WITH EMCO
MANUFACTURING CO. OF PLAINVIEW FOR THE SA~TATION DEPT.
WHEREAS, by previous Council action of ithe adoption of Ordinance
sN.~.~ ~83-2~524, a budget a.ccount was established for the purchase of a
ae±oaa re~use collection truck for replacement of a similar vehicle in
the Sanitation Dept.; and
WHEREAS, after proper advertisementwas given, bids were received
on April 2, 1984 at 2:00 p.m., and one bid that beingEMCOManufacturing
of Plainviewwas received in the amount of $25,412.83; and
WHEREAS, after review and consideration, reccam~_ndation is being
that this sideload refuse packer body be purchased frc~EMCO:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDbytheMayorand City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that E~2OManufacturingbe awarded a purchase
contract in the amount of $25,412.83 for a sideload refuse packer body
to be used bythe SanitationDept. of the City of Plainview.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 10th day of April, 1984.
