A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE PARKS
ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City coUncil has established the Parks Advisory
Committee to study and recommend policies relating to operation of City
Parks, and
WHEREAS, the Parks Advisory Committee has thoroughly studied the use,
location and hours of operation of Lakeside Trails, and has thoroughly
studied the state of dilapidation and deterioration of Frisco Swimming Pool
Dressing Rooms, and
WHEREAS, the Parks Advisory Committee met on August 9, 1984, and
recommended to the City Council the following:
1. Lakeside Trails motorcycle area to remain in the existing
location and to have no time limit on 'hours of operation;
2. That the Frisco Swimming Pool Dressing Rooms be demolished
as repairs would not be financially feasible~
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and' City Council of the
City of Plainview that the recommendations of the Parks Advisory Committee
be accepted and approved and that (1) Lakeside Trails motorcycle area re-
main in the existing location and no time limit to be placed on the hours
of operation, and (2) Frisco Swimming Pool Dressing Rooms be demolished.
