RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 'OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO TRANSMIT A LETTER TO THE
LEGISLATURE AND THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
OPPOSING CURRENT PRACTICES AND POLICIES OF DISPENSING
FUNDS GENERATED THROUGH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING
FUND AND THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER STANDARDS AND
EDUCATION FUND.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Texas has created the
Criminal Justice Planning Fund in part to provide for financial assis-
tance to State and local law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Texas has created the
Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education Fund; and
