A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE LOW AND BEST BID OF AMARILLO ROAD
COMPANY OF AMARILLO, TEXAS, FOR TAXIWAY CONSTRUCTION AND
iMPROVEMENTS AT HALE COUNTY AIRPORT, JOINI.NG THE COUNTY OF
HALE IN AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SAID AMARILLO ROAD COMPANY
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview and the County of Hate are joint-
owners of the Hale County Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview and the County of Hale have received
a grant from the Federal Aviation Agency to construct taxiway and fencing
improvements at the Hale County Airport, and
WHEREAS, Amarillo Road Company of Amarillo, Texas, has submitted
the lowest and best bid in the amount of $585,008.00 for construction of
said improvements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council of
the City of Plainview that the City of Plainview join with the County of
Hale in awarding a contract to Amarillo Road Company of Amarillo, Texas,
in the amount of $585,008 for taxiway construction and fencing improve-
ments at the Hale County Airport and that the Mayor be and is hereby
authorized to execute the contract for said inprovements on behalf of the
City of Plainview.
