A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, TO
ACCEPT A DEED OF CONVEYANCE FROM THE OWNERS OF LOT 13,
BLOCK 16, ORIGINAL TOWN OF PLAINVIEW, HALE COUNTY, TEXAS.
SAID CONVEYANCE TO BE MADE BY WARRANTY DEED, FREE AND
CLEAR OF ALL LIENS AND ENCUMBRANCES.
%¢HEREAS, there is located on Lot 13, Block 16, Original Town
of Plainview, Hale County, Texas, a structure which has been
determined by the Minimum Housing Board to be substandard and in
violation of the Minimum Housing Code of the City of Plainview,
Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Minimum Housing Board has entered an order
directing that the Structure located on said property be demolished
and that all debris be removed from the premises; and
WHEREAS,~ the owners of said real estate have agreed to convey
the property to the City of Plainview, Texas so that the City can
demolish the structure located thereon and remove debris from the
premises; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said real estate have agreed to convey
the property to the City of Plainview, Texas free and clear from
all liens and encumbrances.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS that the City of Plainview, Texas shall accept
a deed of conveyance from the owners of Lot 13, Block 16, Original
Town of Plainview, Texas. Said conveyance shall be by warranty
deed. The land shall be conveyed to the City free and clear of all
liens and encumbrances. The City Attorney is authorized to prepare
the documents necessary for transfer of title to said land to the
City of Plainview.
