A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS RDCEIVING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR REPAIRING, SURFACE PREPARING AND
RECOATING ONE F/.EVATED ST~. WATER TANK ~ NEAR 14TH
AND BALTIMORE STREETS.
WHEREAS, a need exists to repair and recoat the 300,000 gallon
elevated steel water tank located near 14th and Baltimore Streets; and
WHEREAS, advertisement was published and bids were received, opened
and publicly read on October 2, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Lupton Painting Company of Shawnee, Oklahoma, submitted
the only bid for the proposed work in the amount of $26,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the price bid is fair
and reasonable:
NC~, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVSD by tb~ Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview that the bid of Lupron Painting Company of Shawnee,
Oklahoma, in the amount of $26,000.00 for repairing, surface preparing
and recoating one elevated steel water tank located near 14th and
Baltimore Streets be and is hereby accepted and the Mayor be and is
hereby authorized to execute a contract for the performing of said
repair and recoating work.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9th day of October, 1984.'
