A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW
TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, HALE COUNTY AND CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, HALE COUNTY AIRPORT TAXIWAY CONSTRUCTION
AND IMPROVEMENTS, AIP PROJECT NO. 3-48-0175-04 AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CHANGE ORDER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW AND APPROPIATING FUNDS TO COVER ADDITIONAL COSTS.
WHEREAS, an error in the quantity~of crushed aggregate base course
shown in the proposal forms used for bidding purposes has resulted in
the necessity of adding additional costs to the project for Hale County
Airport, thus increasing the City of Plainview portion of the costs by
an estimated $6,000.00; and
WHEREAS, a new wage rate schedule is required to be included in the
contract for the project; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been presented for said project,
which said Change Order No. I includes the addition of said quantities
and new wage rate schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview that Change Order No. 1, Hale County and City of
Plainview, Texas, Hale County Airport Taxiway Construction and Improve-
ments, AIP Project No. 3-48-0175-04 be and is hereby approved and that
the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order No. 1
on behalf of the City of Plainview, and that $6,000.00 be and is hereby
appropriated to cover the additional costs created by said Change Order
No. 1.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9th day of October, 1984.
