A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING BIDS, DETEP~fINING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID,
AkIARDING A CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EX~CTYi~
SAID CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER MAIN EXTENSIONS IN THE CITY OF PIAZBSIIEW, I-iAT,'F. COUNTY,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a need exists to extend sanitary sewer and water mains in
the city of Plainview, Hale County, Texas, to serve the Allbrick
Addition and Plains Mobile Hcme Park; and
WHEREAS, funds for construction of said improvements are being made
available through a ~ity development grant and certain local funds;
and
WHEREAS, advertisement was published and bids were received, opened
and publicly read on October 17, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview has determined
that L and M Construction Company of Dumas, Texas, has submitted the
lowest and best bid in the amount of $205,307.00:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that the lowest and best bid of L and M
Construction Company of Dumas, Texas, in the amount of $205,307.00 for
the construction of sanitary sewer and water main extensions to serve
Allbrick Addition and Plains MDbile Home Park be and is hereby accepted
and that the ~yor be and is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of
the City of Plainview a contract with said L and M Construction Company
for said construction except, however, that the terms of this resolution
shall not take effect until proper grant procedures have been completed
and authorization to proceed is received from the Texas Department of'
Connunity Affairs.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 13th day of November, 1984.
