A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS APPOINTING BARBARA SULLIVAN AS INTERIM MUNICIPAL COURT
JUDGE FOR THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the position for Municipal Court Judge is currently
vacant; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor as ex-officio Municipal Court Judge is
currently serving as Municipal Court Judge; and
WHEREAS, the duties and responsibilities of the Municipal Court
are such that it is unreasonable to request that the Mayor continue
to serve in that capacity; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Sullivan has indicated a willingness to serve
as Interim Court Judge until a Municipal Court Judge is selected.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council
of the City of Plainview, Texas that Barbara Sullivan is hereby
appointed to serve as Interim Municipal Court Judge until a
permanent selection for Municipal Court Judge is made.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 28th day of January, 1986.
