A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS
AWARDING THE BID FOR THE OPERATION OF THE AIRPORT CONTROL TOWER
CONTINGENT ON APPROVAL OF THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview and Hale County have advertised,
tabulated and reviewed bids for the reopening of the Airport Control
Tower at the Plainview/Hale County Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City has received six (6) bids and a copy of the
bid tabulation is hereby attached and made a permanent part of this
resolution; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that ITAP, Inc. of Jonesboro,
Georgia is the lowest and best bidder.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council
of Plainview, Texas that the bid of ITAP, Inc. is hereby accepted
subject to the following:
a) approval by the Hale County Commissioner's Court;
b) if the cost of the insurance exceeds projected estimates, then
the City and County reserve the right to reevaluate the bid
and may withdraw the bid reward;
c) subject to approval and acceptance of the Federal Aviation
Administration;
d) subject to funding of the total cost at 90% by the Federal
Aviation Administration.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the llth day of February, 1986.
