RESOLUTION NO. R86-973
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING A CHANGE IN ~HE MAJOR/MEDICAL INSURANCE
PROVIDED BY THE CITY TO ITS ~4PLOYEV~q.
WHEREAS, the City currently contracts with Blue Cross and Blue
Shield of Texas, Inc. to provide major/medical insurance to the
en~loyees of the City of Plainview; and
~qEREAS, for financial reasons the City Manager has recommended
that the insurance benefits be restructured effective March 15, 1986:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview that the City Manager ~s hereby authorized to approve
a restructured major/medical insurance plan with Blue Cross and Blue
Shield of Texas, Inc., which will reduce the annual cost to the City of
Plainview and its employees by approximately 20%.
