RESOLUTION NO. R86-999
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE ASSIGNMENT OF A FAR~ LEASE CONTRACT
FROM MICHAEL STRICKLAND TO RIVER CITY FAR~S, INC.
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1985, the City of Plainview, Texas and
Hale County, Texas, lessors, entered into a contract with Michael
Strickland, lessee, to lease for farming and agricultural purposes
only all of that part of the Plainview-Hale County Airport located on
Section 41, Block JK-2, Hale County, Texas that is feasible to be
used for the planting and growing of agricultural products and crops.
Said tract of land being more fully described in the farm lease
contract; and
WHEREAS, Michael Strickland desires to assign and transfer
all interes~ in and to said farm lease contract to River City Farms
Inc.; and ,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City
Council of Plainview, Texas that its Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the assignment of farm lease contract so tha= Michael
Strickland may assign said contract to River City Farms, Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall not execute said
contract until certain conditions, as es=ablished by the City
Manager, have been met by Michael Strickland and River City Farms.
