A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS APPROVING THE FEE SCHEDULE AND LETTER OF AGREEMENT
FOR MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES WHICH MAY BE PROVIDED BY
PARKHILL, SMITH AND COOPER, INC., ENGINEERS,.ARCHITECTS,
AND PLANNERS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1987.
WHEREAS, from time to time, it is necessary that the City of
Plainview employ--Parkhill, Smith, and Cooper, Inc., engineers,
architects, and planners to furnish miscellaneous engineering
consulting services to our City and;
ill Smith, and Coo~er, Inc., has su?mitted a fee
WHEREAS, Parkh _, ....... ~ ~ ~ellaneous services which may
schedule and le~ _.t ~ ~__ ~A -~endar year 1987 and,
be utilized by
WHEREAS, said fee schedule and letter of agreement is hereby
made a part of this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor, and the city Council
of the City of Plainview, Texas that the fee schedule and letter of
agreement submitted by Parkhill, smith, and Cooper, Inc. for the
calendar year 1987 be approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute said letter of agreement.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 13th day of January, 1987.

Gentlemen:
We propose to furnish .miscellaneous engineering consulting and design
services to the City during the calendar year 1987 as directed by the
authorized representatives Of the City either verbally or in writing.
The fee for miscellaneous services shall b'e salary cost times a multiplier
of 2.15 plus reimbursement for direct non-labor and sub-contract expense at
invoice cost times a multiplier of 1.15. Fees will be billed quarterly.
Salary cost is defined as the salaries of engineers, architects, drafters,
typists, clerks, etc. for the time directly chargeable to the project plus
normal payroll expenses. The salary schedule on January 1, 1987 is:

$13.44 to $28.09 per hour
$12.04 to $22.00 per hour

The salary-schedule is adjusted each January according to the Cost Price
Index published by the Department of Labor.

The payroll.percentage will be calculated and adjusted on October. 1 of each
year.
On projects where the construct£on costs will exceed $100,000, a separate
engineering fee will be negotiated.
You may indicate the acceptance of this agreement by returning a signed
copy of this letter to our office. We will consider the return as our
authorization to perform engineering and design services as directed.
This agreement may be cancelled by written notice by either party.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to the City of Plainview.
