BETWEEN THE CITY OF~ PLAINVIEW HALE COUNTY AND
RIVER CITY FARMS, INC. '
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview and the County of Hale executed a
Farm Lease Contract with River City Farms, Inc. dated March 13, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Plainview/Hale County Airport Board has expressed an
interest in enrolling the property associated with the Farm Lease in the
Conservation Reserve Program; and
WHEREAS, River City Farms, Inc. has concurred with said proposal and
is willing to cancel the Farm Lease Contract; and
WHEREAS, the existing Farm Lease Contract is scheduled to expire on
December 31, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Plainview that
said Farm Lease Contract be cancelled once the properties in question are
enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas, that the Plainview/Hale County Airport
B?ard is hereby authorized to cancel the Farm Lease Contract between the
C~ty of Plainview and the County of Hale and River City Farms, Inc., once
said property is enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that final action on this matter cannot be
taken without the expressed approval of the Hale County Commissioner.s
Court.
I Sheryl Owen, City Secretary for the City of Plainview, hereby
certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Plainview City
Council on February 10, 1987.
