RESOLUTION NO. R87-228
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AWARDING A CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER AND
WATER MAIN EXTENSIONS ON SOUTHWEST THIRD
STREET (F.M. 3466), PLAINVIEW, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, there exists a need to construct certain sanitary sewer
and water main extensions and improvements on Southwest Third Street
(F.M. 3466) prior to the paving of said street; and
WHEREAS, advertisement was published as required by law and
sealed bids were received, publicly opened and read on March 18, 1987
for said construction; and
WHEREAS, Panhandle Construction Coma_m~_~y__
submitted the lowest and best bid
of Lubbock, Texas ...,
in the total amount of $ 32,352.30 :
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council
of the City of Plainview Texas, that the bid of

hereby accepted, that a contract be awarded for the construction of
certain sanitary sewer and water main extensions and improvements on
S.W. Third Street (F.M. 3466) to said P~nhandle Construction ~n .-,
and that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute a contract
on behalf of the City of Plainview with said
panhandle Construction Company based upon its total bid
price in the amount of $ 32,352.30 ·
I Sheryl Owen, City Secretary for the City of Plainview, hereby
certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Plainview City
Council on March 24, 1987.
