A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE AN INTER LOCAL ~OVERNMENTAL COOPERATION
CONTRACT FOR ADMINISTRATIFE SERVICES WITH THE
SOUTH PLAINS ASSOCIATION OF ~OVERNMENTS AS IT
PERTAINS TO TEXAS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
CONTRACT NO. 7064572.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview is in receipt of a Texas Economic
Development Program Grant for EMCO; and
WHEREAS, the South Plains Association of Governments has
assisted in securing said Grant; and
WHEREAS, the South Plains Association of Governments has agreed
to provide administrative services; and
WHEREAS, the Contract calls for the payment of not more than
$10,000.00 to the South Plains Association of Governments for said
services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview will be reimbursed by EMCO for
all costs incurred to the South Plains Association of GovernmenTs for
the administration of the Contract; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed Contract is attached and hereby
made a permanent part of this Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plainview, Texas, that Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
Inter Local Governmental Cooperation Contract for Administrative
Services with the South Plains Association of Governments as it
pertains7064572. to the Texas Economic Development Program Contract No.
I Sheryl Owen, City Secretary for the City of Plainview, hereby
certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Plainview City
Council on May 12, 1987.
