A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO REJECT A
CRIMINAL JUSTICE GRANT FOR THE PLAINVIEW/I~kLE COUNTY
RAPE CRISIS CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview is in the 5th year of Criminal
Seed Money for initiating a Rape Crisis Center; and
and WHEREAS, the final years Grant is approximately $1,700.00;
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Plainview/Hale County
Rape Crisis Center have determined that the cost for processing a
$1,700.00 Grant will exceed the benefits of the Grant; and
WHEREAS, the Rape Crisis Board of Directors has requested
that the City of Plainview reject said Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that the Mayor is hereby authorized to
reject the Plainview/Hale County Grant for the Rape Crisis Center.
I, Sheryl Owen, City Secretary for the City of Plainview,
Texas certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the
Plainview City Council on this the 13th day of October, 1987.
