RESOLUTION NO. R87-296
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
COMMISSION ON HUMAN RELATIONS OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has a Commission on Human
Relations; and
WHEREAS, Lionel Garcia, recently resigned from said Commission
for personal reasons; and
WHEREAS, Martha M. Couch has expressed an interest on serving
on said Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council feel that Martha M.
Couch can make a contribution to the Commission on Human Relations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that Martha M. Couch is hereby appointed
to the Commission on Human Relations with her term to expire on
January 1, 1989.
I, James p. Jeffers, City Manager for the City of Plainview,
hereby certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the
Plainview City Council on this the 27th day of October, 1987.
