RESOLUTION NO. R87-303
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES
TO SERVE ON THE COUNTYWIDE FIRE SUPPRESSION
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the cities of Plainview, Abernathy and Petersburg
along with Hale County and a group of concerned rural citizens
have agreed to form a County Wide Fire Suppression Committee; and
WHEREAS, said Committee is charged with the responsibility of
identifying alternatives for accomplishing County Fire
Suppression; and
WHEREAS, each participating entity is to appoint two
Representatives to serve on the Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Plainview City Council recognizes the importance
of County Wide Fire Suppression and agrees that it is in the best
interest of all citizens of Hale County, including those who
reside within the Plainview City limits, to participate in this
important endeavor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that the following Representatives are
appointed to the Committee:
E. V. Ridlehuber, Mayor
Terry Cl~ments~ Counci]me~ber
James P. Jeffers, City Manager - Ex-Officio
Joe Ferguson, Fire/EMS Director - Ex-Officio
I, James P. Jeffers, City Manager for the City cf Plainview,
hereby certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the
Plainview City Council on this the 10th day of November, 1987.
