RESOLUTION NO. R08-184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW DESIGNATING THE
EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD JUDGE; DESIGNATING THE DISTRICT
POLLING PLACE JUDGE; AND SETTING HOURLY RATE FOR ELECTION
OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the statutes of the State of Texas and the Charter of
the City of Plainview, an election shall be held in and for the City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the election shall be held on the second Saturday in May, 2008, the
same being May 10, 2008; and
WHEREAS, all persons qualified to vote in said election under the Election Laws of
the State of Texas shall be allowed to vote therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
Said election shall have as its Early Voting Ballot Board presiding election judge,
Jorge Sanchez. On May 10, 2008, the District No. 6 Polling Place Judge will also be Jorge
Sanchez.
SECTION 2
It is further provided that the hourly rate for presiding election judges shall not
exceed $10.00 per hour, and the hourly rate for Clerks shall not exceed $8.00 per hour.
SECTION 3
A copy of this resolution shall also be served upon the election officials designated
to hold the election.
