A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE BUDGETED CATEGORY OF CONTINGENCY TO
CLEARANCEAND DEMOLITION. $i
WHEREAS, the City Council'. of the City of Plainview de res to continue
in the development of a viable urban community, including decent housing,
a suitable living environment a-nd expanded economic opportunities, prin-
cipally for persons of law and moderate income; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has applied for and received a
Comprehensive Three Year Community Development Block Grant for non-
metropolitan discretionary cities under Title I of the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the budgeted project activity of Clearance and Demolition
has expended all of its budgeted funds for the 1978 Fiscal Year; and
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the 1978 Community Development
Contingency Fund which t~e City Council may tranfer to anybudgeted activity
without prior approval from the Department of Housing and Development:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview,Texas, authorizes the transfer of $ 21~000.00
from the 1978 Contingency Fund to the Clearance and Demolition Project
Acitivity.
