Plainview, Texas
Dear Mayor Wayland:
The owners of the Skaggs Building, located at 7th & Broadway, Plainviaw,
have determined that it will be necessary-to construct a neW~ sewer line
to serve the Skaggs Building.
The present sewer line runs under a portion of the Skaggs Building. In order
to replace the sewer line under the building, it will be necessary to tear out
the concrete floor through a major portion of the building. It appears that
it w~ald be more practical to tie c~ to the sewer line in the basement, run
the sewer line through tb~ foundation on th~ south side of the building and
west under the sidewalk to the public sever line.
The owners of the Skaggs Building request that the City Council grant to them
a street use penuit for the purpose of constructing a sewer line under the
sidewalk directly south of the Skaggs Building on 7th Street. The owners of
the building will sign an agreement indemnifying and holding the City hanuless
frcm any liability incurred as a result of the installation, mainte~, repair
and use of the Sewer line. The owners will further replace any portion of the
sidewalk which is removed in constructic~.
Please place this request on the agenda of the next City Council meeting.
