A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE 1979 PAVING CONTRACT
TO INCLUDE THE PAVING OF 24th STREET FROM GARLAND TO ½ BLOCK
WEST OF KERMIT DRIVE AND APPROPRIATING $22,000 FROM THE 1974
STREET BOND FUND.
WHEREAS, Lon Cartwright has requested the paving of 24th Street
from Garland to ½ block west of Kermit Drive; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cartwright has complied with all the applicable
provisions of Subdivision Ordinance No. 78-2259; and
WHEREAS, funds have been placed in escrow for the paving of
24th Street abutting Westgate Unit No. 3, Town West Addition Units No.
2 & 3, Plainview, Texas, and
WHEREAS, Lon D. Cartwright has agreed to pay the property owners
share of paving abutting Westgate Unit No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plainview has funds available in the 1974
Street Bond Fund to pay for its portion of the paving cost:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council
of the City of Plainview, Texas to authorize the extension of the 1979
paving contract to include the paving of 24th Street from Garland to
½ block west of Kermit Drive and to appropriate $22,000 from the 1974
Street Bond Fund.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 27th day of November , 1979.
