A RESOLUTIONJDFTTHECCITY COUNCIL OF THE C%TY OF
PLAINVIEW, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS FOR MATERIALS TO BE USED TO ENCASE A
12" WATER MAIN LAYING PARALLEL TO 1-27 AND CROSSING
FM 1767 (Industrial-Blvd.).
WHEREAS, the Texas ~epartment'of Highways & Public
Transportation is going to pave FM 1767 (Industrial Blvd.)
from 1-27 to U.S. Business Route 445 (Columbia Street); and
WHEREAS, the Highway Department is requiring us to encase
the 12" water main that crosses FM 1767 prior to said paving; and
WHEREAS, the estimated purchase cost of the encasing
materials is approximately $5,000; and
WHEREAS, City policy requires the advertisement for sealed
bid for any project that exceeds $3,000; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the 1980 Water &
Sewer Bond Fund Account No. 11-0-60505 to cover said expenditure:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Plainview authorizing the advertisement for bids
for materials to be used to encase a 12" water main laying parallel
to 1-27 and crossing FM 1767 (Industrial Blvd.).
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2Sth day of August, 1981.
