RESOLUTION NO. R82-471
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS ACCEPTING THE WORK PERFORMED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS PARKING LOT; DESCRIBING' THE METHOD
OF PAYMENT; AND AUTHORIZING A PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$12,445.00 TO HIGH PLAINS PAVERS, INC. FOR SERVICES RENDERED.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Hale County Commissioners
entered into a $17,445.00 contract for the construction of a parking
lot at the Senior Citizens Center with High Plains Pavers, Inc. on
June 23, 1981; and
WHEREAS, said work has been satisfactorily completed in accordance
with the plans and specificatiOns; and
and
WHEREAS, a local contributor has donated $5,000 for this project;
WHEREAS, the Hale County'Commissioners have agreed to reimburse
the City of Plainview for $5,000 if the City pays the $12,445.00 balance
of the contract to High Plains Paver, Inc .... ; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Revenue Sharing Acct.
to cover said expenditure:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the Mayor and City Council of
ithe City of Plainview, Texas to:
Section 1: Accept the work performed during the construction
of the parking lot at the Senior Citizens Center.
Section 2: Authorize an initial payment in the amount of
$12,445.00 to High Plains Pavers, Inc. for services
rendered during the construction ofsaid Parking lot.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of January, 1982.
