A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS APPROVING THE REQUEST OF THE 9TH STREET CHURCH OF
CHRIST TO PAVE THE ALLEY LOCATED EAST OF THE CHURCH BETWEEN
8TH AND 9TH STREETS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ALLEY PAVING
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW.
WHEREAS, the Church of Christ located at the intersection of 9th
street and Columbia Street has requested permission to pave the alley
adjacent to and east of their property between 8th and 9th streets; and
WHEREAS, they have consulted with the City Engineer and have agreed
to have the paving installed in accordance with the alley paving speci-
fications of the City of Plainview:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Plainview, Texas to approve the request of the 8th Street
Church of Christ to pave the alley located east of the church between
8th and 9th streets, in accordance with the alley paving specifications
of the City of Plainview.

Gentlemen:
Reference is made to the~ro~_~x~e~ construction adjacent to the existing
church building located at 9th Street and Columbia Street, Plainview,
Texas.
Our proposal includes the paving of the alley between 8th and 9th
Streets, which is adjacent to our property on the east. We propose to
complete this work by providing a 6" caliche base, capped by a 1%"
coating of asphalt and gravel. This paving is projected to be 18' in .......
width and 400' long. We further propose to accomplish this work to the
satisfaction of the City Engineer.
Your approval of this project is respectfully requested.
