A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS EMPLOYING HUGH C. ANDERSON III AS CHIEF OF THE
MUNICIPAL POLICE SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS
RATIFYING ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY COUNCIL AT A SPECIAL
MEETING ON MONDAY,"JANUARY 18, 1982.
WHEREAS, the position~of Chief of Municipal Police Services for
the City of Plainview has been vacant since the resignation of Alan
Stewart effective August 14, 1981; .and
WHEREAS, advertisement for this position were made and applications
received;and interviews h~ld; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview spent a great
deal of time weighing the qualifications of the candidates and on January
18, 1982 at a Special Council Meeting, the Council made the decision to
employee Hugh C. Anderson III to fill this vacancy in our organization:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that this resolution ratify the action taken by
the City Council on Monday, January 18, 1982 to employee Hugh C. Anderson
III as Chief of Municipal Police Services for the City of Plainview.
PASSEDAND APPROVED this the 26th day of January, 1982.
