A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS ACCEPTING THE BiDs AND AWARDING A PURCHASE CONTRACT
FOR MATERIALS TO BE USED FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS TO BE'INSTALLED
ON AND ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 70.
WHEREAS~the Texas Department of Highways and.Public Transportation
i$ in the process Of completing the plans and'Fp~cifications for the
reb.uilding of U.S. Highway 70 in Plalnview; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of community safety and citizen welfare,
the City Council desires to improve traffic siF~nalization along this
street by installing new and modern signals systems; and
WHEREASj the invitation for bids were duly advertised~ bids were
received and opened on February 23, 1982, at 10:00 A.M.; the lowest
and best bids.~for'~traffic m~terialsand the purchase contract are
awarded to the following: ~

2) Signal Heads & Hardware-
3) Mast Arms & Hardware -
4) PVC Conduit
5) Cable

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that purchase contracts be entered into to the
lowest and best bidders to purchase materials for traffic signals on and
along U.S. Highway 70 and funds be appropriated ~from the Street Bond Fund.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 23rd day of February, 1982.
