RESOLUTION NO. R82- 505
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS APPROPRIATING
$1,008.95 FROM THE 1976 G.O. PARK BOND FUND ACCOUNT NO. 3-0-60812 AS PAYMENT
FOR THE PERMANENT CAST-BRONZE PLAQUE AT JOHN D. STONEHAM PARK.
WHEREAS, on August 22, 1977, the City of Plainview entered into a Bureau of
Outdoor Recreation Agreement (Project NO. 48-00532) for the development of
John D. Stoneham (Thunderbird) Park with the U.S. Department of Interior and
the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife; and
WHEREAS, said development of John D. Stoneham Park is substantially complete
and the Parks Committee and the City Council of the City of Plainview desire
to commemorate the efforts made by John D. Stoneham while serving as Mayor of
the City of Plainview by erecting a permanent plaque in accordance with Texas
Parks and Wildlife guidelines; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the 1976 G.O. Park Bond
Fund Account No. 3-0-60821 to cover said expenditures,
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Plainview, Texas to appropriate $1,008.95 from the 1976 G,O. Park Bond Fund
Account No. 3-0-60812 for payment for the permanent plaque at John D Stoneham
(Thunderbird) Park. '
