RESOLUTION NO. R82-506
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS ABTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT. TO PARKHILL, SMITH & COOPER~
INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RENDERED IN THE PREPARATION
OF THE STEP 2 & 3 EPA GRANT APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1981, the City of Plainview entered into
an agreement with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc., Engineers, Architects,
and Planners of Lubbock, Texas to provide engineering services in the
preparation of a STEP 2 + 3 application for EPA funding for the design
and construction of waste water system improvements including attendance
at a pre-application conference conducted by the Texas Department of Water
Resources; and
WHEREAS, Parkhill, Smith, & Cooper, Inc. have fulfilled their obligation
to the City of Plainview by rendering services from April 1, 1981 through
February 28, 1982; and
WHEREAS, due to federal program deductions, funding of EPA Grants have
been ~bstantiallyreduced and the City of Plainview has presently been
removed from the priority list:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas that Parkhill, Smith and Cooper, Inc. be paid in
accordance with the agreement for services they rendered in the amount of
$4,112.59 and this amount be appropriated from the Utility Bond Fund.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 27th day of April, 1982.
