RESOLUTION NO; R82-512
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
RAY & ASSOCIATES, INC. A PUBLIC MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT FIRM
TO UNDERTAKE A PERSONNEL STUDY OF THE CITY ORGANIZATION.
WHEREAS, during the development of the Budget for the fiscal
year 1981-82, the Mayor and City Council were made aware of the need
for a personnel study of the City organization, involving the new develop-
ment of a new classification plan and review of the pay plan; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council concurred in the need for
of this. study and instructed the City Manager to establish this as one
of the goals to be accomplished during this fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, a consulting firms specializing in this service have been
contacted and a proposal made by Ray Associates, Inc. of Austin, Texas
is recommended as the best proposal fitting the needs of the City organization:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THE Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview that the City Manager be authorized to enter into
a contact on behalf of the City of Plainview with Ray Associates, Inc.
of Austin for a personnel study Of the City organization_and the amount
of the contact $6,580 be appropriated from the Undesignated General Fund.
