A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL AND RECON-
STRUCTION OF CURB AND GUTTER IN THE 100 BLOCK OF WEST 7TH STREET
AND THE 600 BLOCK OF NORTH AUSTIN STREET AND THE WIDENING OF THE
PAVING IN THE 600 8LOCK OF NORTH AUSTIN STREET, ALL IN PLAINVIEW,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a new building and parking lots are being constructed in
the 600 block of North Austin Street; and
WHEREAS, the curb and gutter abutting said improvements has deteriorated
and is-in need of removal and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the width of North Austin Street abutting said property
improvements is not the same width as it is to the south and to the north
of said location and should be increased to a width which will align the
curb and gutter along the east side of North Austin Street through the
600 block; and
WHEREAS, L. James Robison, has requested, on behalf of the owners of
said property, that such work be done by the City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, said L. James Robison has stated that said property owners
have agreed to reconstruct the sidewalks abutting said curb and gutter; and
WHEREAS, the cimcumstances Of tHE requeSted p~Oj-eCt meets the require-
ments of established policies of the City of Plainview; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said project to the City of Plainview
is $6,900.00 and sufficient funds available in Street Improvement Fund
Account No. 7-0-60807 to D~y for said project:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas, that the removal and reconstruction of curb and
gutter abutting the south side of the west 140 feet of the 100 block of
West Austin Street and abutting the east side of the north 250 feet of the
600 block of North Austin Street and the widening of the east side of North
Austin Street abutting the north 250 feet of east side of the 600 block be
and is hereby authorized and that $6,900 be and is hereby appropriated from
Street Improvement Fund Account No. 7-0-60807 to pay for said improvements.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 25th day of May, 1982.
